About Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a holistic approach to dealing with many common ailments, from sudden injury or emotional/ psychological distress to long-standing, and recurring conditions. Treatment is tailored to every individual and can be used to improve or maintain health.
Acupuncture has withstood the test of time, its origins being more than 2,000 years old. When you suffer physical or emotional injury the free flow of Qi (energy) around your body is disrupted, resulting in pain and distress.
By inserting very fine needles into the body at precisely chosen points acupuncture seeks to remove blockages, helping the body restore its natural balance.
Many sports celebrities are acupuncture fans, including gold medal winning Olympian Rebecca Adlington, who found acupuncture beneficial for an ongoing shoulder injury.
